Developing People Skills

• Worked with McGraw Hill publishers to develop the High Performance Manufacturing Technician text book and applications manual

• Developed the nationally endorsed Manufacturing Skills Standards Council's training program to support the MSSC national standards assessment for High Performance Manufacturing Technicians.  This program has been recognized by the U.S. Department of Labor as a cornerstone to the future success of manufacturing. Covers Safety, Quality, Maintenance and Production Processes to raise the knowledge and develop skills to a high performance level for production workers.

• Designed Business Basics for Manufacturing. Business Basics simulates operating decisions for a production process and covers key business ingredients such as customer requirements, man hours, labor cost, cycle time, downtime, scrap and unit cost.

• Wrote superintendent reference manual and developed/delivered newly promoted and refresher training for manufacturing managers.  Increased focus upon process standards and drive for continuous improvement.

• Facilitated strategic planning offsite for company leadership to focus corporate direction for the next 3 years. Developed specific strategies to pursue.  Increased communication & understanding across leadership team.
